A Doubting God

Ever heard of that? A doubting God? Yeah, pretty much like a generous God, Righteous God and Loving God.
Have we? I guessed as much.

There are doubting Thomas’ and doubting Oscar’s. But make no mistake about it, there isn’t a doubting God.
Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent;
Has He said, and will He not do it?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good”

As It is written, so It shall be done!

You can make a difference

I ride to work everyday, even when I dont have work I am usually on the bike. I can safely say that Indian roads are to be experienced and learned.

Breaking a traffic signal is of no value today. It only costs 100 Rs to get away. Lesser if you want to bribe the official.Trust me, the only time you will NOT consider breaking it , is if you seen cops right in front of you or you have seen too many cops on that particular day to keep you alert.
Im not saying that I dont ever break signals. But I dont do it anymore. And if you catch me doing it, slap me.

I’ve noticed this. If everyone else is breaking the signal you will too even if you aren’t a regular at it.It is very easy to go with the flow. “Why are you doing it? I dont know. Because everyone else is.” For some it doesnt even matter if there are cops, they run away.

Its very difficult to stop at the signal when everyone else is breaking it. Even more to do so before the white line which is drawn before the zebra crossing.

But when you DO stop, you’ll witness a miracle. Don’t bother about the fool honking behind you to get you to break the signal. Wait for the signal to turn green. Suddenly you will see motorists stop too. Why? Cuz one of them saw you do it. And then everyone starts to stop for the signal.

My point is this- If a normal action of following normal logical laws can influence others to do the same, HOW MUCH MORE when you start living for Jesus Christ. How much more when you show Jesus in your life. Dont break God’s laws. Be an example to others.

So are you ready to make a difference today? Start with a smile.

My College years

I warned all my friends online in December that I was gonna turn nostalgic and emotional as College ended. Some people absolutely hate it. I on the other hand am fine with them thinking so. This is the way I deal with things. I cry when I need to. There is nothing ‘less masculine’ about it. Jesus cried when he was full of sorrow.

10th or the 11th of Feb is the offical date for our Graduating students Farewell.

Im going to write a post for everyday till the 10-11th of Feb. Cheerio~

My Axiom

My Axiom

The trees are laughing
There is a lady speaking in a tongue
People attentive and among
them I face my battle,
a personal matter

Another day, I’d love to listen
Today I cant believe this seer

A little given , taken away
another gains,
pain, uncertain
grows again

I faced a battle
as I stood in awe.
Pain, how much does it matter?
Suffering how much can you try
to Derail me?

Still it doesn’t matter much
Give it an hour or two, and such
Thoughts are put away,
My Lord, says

“Wait. Tarry a little while longer.
It’s my will and remember
you said “ill follow,
as long as you go”

When I left for Dhule I had no idea what was waiting for us there. Infact none of us did. Continue reading “From Dhule and now the story.”

What’s your plan?

I believe each and everyone of us has some idea of what we want to do, if not a definite answer to the question ” Where am I heading at?”. I’ve met a lot of people hanging in the balance of infinitum and not knowing for themselves what they want to do or what they can do for that matter. But let me remind you, we are a people of destiny. Not fate. Fate says that things happen as they have to and no one controls it , it chooses itself. We don’t believe in fate. We believe in Destiny.

Jeremiah 1:5

5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

So its obvious that we have a purpose for our life! God did not create us because for ‘timepass’
No. He ordained  and set us apart, a chosen generation.

So what then? I, for one feel really special. And one should. For knowing that you are chosen and unique will fill you with a sense of heavenly pride. The good sort, where you feel confident about yourself and all.

And as I was meditating on the scriptures God gave me a revelation from Matthew about our purpose.I was reading the birth of Jesus and God showed me how Joseph fulfilled what God purposed for his life.

The Bible testifies Joseph to be a good man. It actually says in  Matthew 1:19

“Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.”( Mat 1:19)

Now this is what Joseph had decided. And the Bible even credits unto him righteousness. So if you think about it, the Bible says that whatever he did or thought he was righteous. So here was a man who being righteous wanted to do a good act (i.e save his fiance from judgement) and back out quietly. Now lets look at what the next verse says.

20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

God told me three things after I read this.

  1. Joseph had decided his course of action. And lets remember that we are talking about a Righteous man here and in our times we would probably liken him to our Pastor or a Man of God.
  2. But God had other plans.
  3. Joseph was willing to change his plans for God’s perfect plan and in turn became a History Maker. And thus, Jesus was born and was called the Son of Joseph, a descendant of David, as the scripture records in Matthew 1:verse 22-  All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23“The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”—which means, “God with us.”

So are you willing to lay aside your plan and seek God for his perfect plan for your life?
